"Everyone who went'n fallen down... ... has woken up quicker than a rattlesnaker on goose loosey. They're all walking around and talking like nothing is wrong. I thought they was goners...?" -Sandy Cheeks, S14E11A (Here Comes The Spongemesh)

The Spongemesh are a group of fish brought back from being "hooked" by Sandy. She injected them with bubbles during an experiment to harness the power of Bikini Bottomites, and to find a way to break the low tide and, thus, escape the Coral Reef. Unfortunately, since fish bodies do not have enough physical matter to handle oxygen, the bubbles that entered them lost cohesion, and they fused together into strange and horrifying creatures, with somewhat paranormal abilities.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

Spongemesh resemble pieces of different fish, like Fred and Larry the Lobster (excluding Aster-Isk, who does not resemble any known fish). Their appearances vary, depending on the fish that compose them. For example, Krabinator appears to be a crustacean amalgamate because it is composed of many different crabs and lobsters. The action scenes when they are animated, as opposed to the unsettling static motions they remain in throughout most of the episode, also vary from their; Patrick's Mother, for example, is unrecognizable in her own skin.

Pregnant with 17 kids.

Subliminal picture shown six times throughout frames in the episode.

Strange Glyph that shows up in that episode once.

Personality[]

Amal2

The Spins, a combination of Spongebob and brother Stanley. This was Stanley's last canonical appearance.

Many Spongemesh appear to have regressed to a partial bestial state, and throughout the episode attack Sandy in the belief that 'meshing' her will bring them an end to their pain while exploring the Second Treedome. Despite this, Sandy does her best to get them to remember their old lives through karate, which allows them to remember who they collectively were.
